Play Ball for All!
A new outdoor complex at Tamiami Park features rubber fields that let wheelchairs and walkers glide easily on the surface. It is Miami-Dade County’s first ballpark designed specifically for use by those with developmental and intellectual disabilities. It gives special needs kids and young adults in Miami-Dade a safe, obstacle-free place to participate in America’s favorite past time.
Made possible by the Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade in partnership with the Miracle League of Miami-Dade County (MLOMD) and the Marlins Foundation, the entire site, including dugouts, playground, restrooms and a concession building, is 100% accessible under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
