Parks Foundation Helps Bring Miami-Dade’s America 250 Fourth of July Celebration to Life

The Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade was proud to play a key role in supporting Miami-Dade County’s America 250 Fourth of July Celebration, held July 4, 2026, at Tropical Park.

The annual celebration took on special significance this year as Miami-Dade County marked the 250th anniversary of the United States. The event served as a signature celebration of the County’s Miami-Dade 250 initiative and the official kickoff to National Park and Recreation Month.  Thousands of residents and visitors came together at Tropical Park for an afternoon and evening of live music and entertainment, the Parks Central showcase village, family activities, food trucks and a spectacular fireworks finale over the park’s lake.

The Parks Foundation joined Miami-Dade Parks and a generous group of corporate, philanthropic and community partners in supporting the celebration. Together, these partnerships helped create a memorable community experience in one of Miami-Dade County’s signature parks while bringing people together to celebrate this historic national milestone.

The celebration reflected the power of public-private partnerships to create memorable community experiences in Miami-Dade County parks while bringing people together to celebrate this historic national milestone.

The Parks Foundation extends its appreciation to the many sponsors, partners and Miami-Dade Parks employees whose support helped make the 2026 celebration possible.
